g2 REVOLUTION ACHIEVES CARBON NEUTRAL STATUS FOR 2023 & 2024

At g2 revolution, sustainability isn’t just part of our services; it’s the foundation of how we operate. We are proud to announce that, after careful data collection, analysis, and offset investments, g2 revolution has achieved carbon neutrality and earned the status of Net Zero Contributor with a Silver-Level Rating from Greenly for both 2023 and 2024.

This milestone reflects our commitment to accountability, transparency, and measurable impact in every aspect of our business.

What Does Carbon Neutral Mean?

Carbon neutrality means that all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by our operations have been measured, verified, and offset through certified removal and reduction projects. By addressing each of these sources, we ensure that our recycling operations are conducted with a true carbon conscience.

At g2, this includes emissions from:

    • Facility operations
    • Employee commuting and business travel
    • g2-organized shipping
    • Customer-organized shipping
    • Direct materials processing
    • Partner materials processing
    • Vehicle fleet use
    • Operational supply purchases

How We Calculated Our Impact

Emissions were measured in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate & Scope 3 Standards, covering seven greenhouse gases recognized by the Kyoto Protocol. These results were expressed in CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) to account for global warming potential across all GHG types.

Through a partnership with Greenly, a sustainability accounting platform, we gathered activity-based and financial data to calculate our footprint.

How We Offset Our Emissions

To achieve carbon neutrality, we invested in verified carbon removal and reduction projects, registered through the Verified Carbon Standard, American Carbon Registry, and Verra Registry. These initiatives include renewable energy partnerships and sustainable forest management projects in North America and Asia. Additionally, we sourced 100% renewable electricity for our corporate and operational needs, further reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

Why This Matters

As a recycler, accountability is in our DNA. Managing our own carbon footprint is an essential step in ensuring that our clients partner with a service provider who is not only compliant but also environmentally responsible.

By being carbon neutral, we help our clients:

    • Strengthen their ESG and sustainability strategies
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
    • Align their brands with responsible environmental practices

It’s recycling with a carbon conscience.

Looking Ahead

While achieving Net Zero Contributor status for 2023 and 2024 is an important milestone, it’s just the beginning. We’re committed to ongoing measurement, reduction, and accountability as we continue to rethink waste and deliver innovative sustainability solutions.

Together with our clients and partners, we’re building a more sustainable future one solution at a time.
