Lake Zurich, IL – The Village of Lake Zurich is proud to announce g² revolution as Lake Zurich’s first winner of the local Green Business Award. g² revolution is a pioneering force in sustainable business practices located at 800 Church Street. The Green Business Award highlights g² revolution’s sustainable innovation and their search for green possibilities, challenging traditional products and making active contributions to solving the word’s recycling problems.

The Green Business Award honors organizations that demonstrate exceptional leadership in integrating sustainable practices into their daily business operations, driving positive change in the Lake Zurich community, and helping clients meet their needs for recycling options.

g² revolution has implemented numerous initiatives aimed at promoting green business practices across its operations. A few of these initiatives include the following:

• Providing recycling services for those hard-to-recycle items for retailers and manufacturers across the United States, helping look for innovative end-of-life solutions for their products.
• Eliminating single-use water bottles. g² revolution provides reusable water bottles to all current and newly on-boarded personnel who join the team.
• Eliminating the use of styrofoam. g² revolution uses fully-compostable cups, plates, and silverware in its facility.
• Conducting an on-site facility assessment from ComEd and implementing 100% LED lighting, in tandem with skylights for natural lighting in the warehouse and task-lighting in certain areas.
• Installing six electric vehicle charging stations in 2023 to encourage employees to buy EV.
• Launching a native landscaping project with horticultural consultants to install native species vegetation and regularly remove invasive plants that are found on site.
• g² revolution also exemplifies community leadership with its ongoing partnerships with several local non-profits such as Lake County Haven, the Ancient Oaks Foundation, and Ela Historical Society. g² revolution has committed to social responsibility with these non-profit partnerships that benefit food banks, conservation efforts, and housing support for women and children.
